The Xavierian ideology believes in activity blended education. Numerous activities going at par with academic curriculum in the Xavierian system strengthen the edifice of career of the students and bring them all round development in the true sense of the term. Apart from this, the system gives wide recognition to various other aspects of knowledge found in those who are not even sound in academic curriculum. No branch of knowledge is neglected. Quality Management System

The Group of Schools has implemented the Quality Management System as formulated and developed by ISO (International Organization for Standardization). The working of the Schools and process developments etc. are offered for public review through Parents / Students feedback system. Corrective measures are also taken to make good the discrepancy, if any. The School’s quality teaching and management system has been certified by KVQA, thereby bringing the School the glory of being an ISO 9001-2000 Certified Institution.

Tested Teaching Methods

Academic council with eminent educationists have devised teaching methods that are effective and enjoyable. Education based on routine process causes mental fatigue in students. The approach underlying Xavierian teaching method makes a child desire to learn. The teaching methods are so devised and designed as to create, develop and quench the psychological thirst of a child. Activity blended teaching successfully brings about integral development in the learner.

The Group does not believe that induction of teachers with brilliant academic achievements behind them together with long experience can alone elevate the academic standard of schools. Time to time training and orientation imparted to teachers can equip them with new developments and fresh invented methods which would ultimately be instilled into students to help their intellectual growth. Renowned Academics with vast experience conduct the Orientation programs and train the Teachers.

Retention of teachers is of vital importance in order to sustain the progress of the Institution. Provision should, therefore, be made to accord wide recognition to the loyalty, sincerity and dutifulness of teachers with package of benefit in deserving cases. A congenial pleasant working environment with recreation needs to be provided in order to generate new spirit in teachers and develop in them a sense of attachment.

Teaching Patterns & Subjects

The Group follows CBSE, ICSE and State Board courses with the subjects like Hindi, Oriya, Sanskrit, Bengali, Telgu, English Language and Literature, Environmental Education Social Studies, General Science, Mathematics, Health Education, Computer Science are also the subjects as per CBSE/ICSE norms. From Std. V, the pupil is introduced to a third language with an option to be exercised for either Sanskrit or any of the foreign languages like French, German or Arabic. Computer Education is compulsory from Std-I onwards. In addition, the prescribed regular computer courses with Multimedia, and Internet facility are facilitated to students for furtherance of skill.

Medium of Instruction

English being the international language for communication and indispensable for rapid scientific and technological development of the country, the Group of Schools is bent upon a wide range of English literacy and, therefore, adopts English as the medium of instruction. However, it leaves no stone unturned to honour Regional and other Indian Languages like Oriya, Hindi, Sanskrit, Telgu, Gujrati, Chhastisgarhi etc., and place them in school curriculum. It further plans to make provision for teaching foreign languages.

Inter Xavier’s Meet

INSPOM (Inter Xaviers Sports Meet)

Games and Sports play a pivotal role in bringing up a child to imbibe with the spirit of physical and health education, enaware a sense of ethical values like discipline and punctuality, so as to command a respectable social dignity. To fulfill this ambition of every Xavierian, the Group of Schools provide the platform of INSPOM, where every child from primary to intermediate level gets the opportunity to perform and prove. This innovative act INSPOM enable all students to come out with glowing colours not only in the national but also in international level. Every ultimate year, with different venues, children are encouraged and inspired to prove themselves as a game star or sports star besides their scholastic learning. They are awarded and provided with a congenial ambiance for enhancing their sporting spirits.

INXTACO (Inter Xavier’s Talent Competition)

The Group of Schools do offer a varied scope for all Xavierians to come out with their creative talents in Non-scholastic and Co-scholastic Domain. The students are inspired to earn their name and fame bagging prizes in various field like Creative Writing, Pantomine, Elocution, Debate, Essay Writing, Dance Song and Painting competitions. This event with different venues helps all school students to develop and spread a common Xavierian spirit far & wide in every alternate year.

Excursion & Educational Tours

A mere knowledge gained from books becomes monotonous, if it is not based on orientation & observation. Keeping this point in mind, the group arranges observational tours like picnic, excursion & study tours to various places of importance, so that a pupil becomes aware of this significance of observational method of learning. It is through this child learns the values of sharing, co-operation, however it brings him/her a psychological refreshment. Such trips are highly informative as well as educational, for children get an opportunity to know the facts & fictions of life. This annual outing also helps a child in the way of character building.

Co-Curricular Activities

A Child’s bent of mind sometimes comes to the forefront through leisure activities and sports. Docility, aggressiveness, leadership, compassion, strength of mind, weakness of mind, reaction to failure, friendship and numerous other traits and facets of a child’s personality are revealed through participation in varieties of Co-curricular activities. As such, the Group of Schools has mobilized its efforts to organize activities like games and sports, physical exercises, dance & music, elocution, art and craft, spiritual discourses, picnic and excursion together with various exchange programmes.
